For starters, I was in a car accident last week. I'm fine, but please all if you're turning off of a side street onto a busy street make sure you look both ways. If the person who hit me had done that, she'd have saved both of us a lot of headache.
Or, in my case, knee ache. A few days after the accident my knee gave out. I'm still waiting on an ultrasound, but physio has been awesome and instant, and the knee is improving. We're all pretty sure it's not serious, but it has axed any plans I might have had for getting out with hubby on the Ural for the near future.
I'm trying to get my gardens going, but, well...
Some other random updates:
- I have read 16 books towards my goal of 26 for the year. Go me!
- I'm still avoiding shampoo. On top of that one change eliminating my need for inhalers (I've been asthmatic since I was 14) it also seems to have led to a dramatic reduction in allergy symptoms.
- I'd gotten my bike riding up to 4km before the knee thing. I'm still hoping to hit the 6km ride to the grocery store this summer.
- The Ural has been getting some mods for the summer. We've added a second luggage rack, and are hoping to get a larger (and CSA approved) gas can on as well. I'm sure there will be much more before the summer is out.
- I've got 3 draft posts in my queue that haven't made it into the public eye. I'm going to have to redouble my efforts at this blogging thing.
Now back to enjoying the spring that finally came to Ontario. I hope you're doing the same.
